"It's my money and I want it NOW!"
Isn't Adam about the cutest thing you've ever seen in your whole life?? Even with constant bumps and bruises on his noggin he's pretty darn cute.
Back to the main reason for this blog entry. The rest of our trip. After two days at Disneyland we headed south to San Diego to stay at Brett and Melissa's house again. On Thursday we went to Sea World. Our kids love it there. It's not quite as exciting as Disneyland, but fun still. We were sitting, waiting for the dolphin show to start when a Sea World employee approached us and asked if Cameron would like to be part of the show! How cool is that?? So she and I went back stage and put on giant galoshes and got front row seating for an amazing experience. I even got a pretend husband for 20 minutes. They do a little thing where our "dad" falls in the water at the end and a few dolphins had to rescue him. Our part was less scary than falling into dolphin and killer whale infested waters. I got to feed a dolphin and Cameron got to feed a killer whale! It really was awesome!

What an amazing experience for us! And I just have to mention that I went to buy a $6 bucket of popcorn and they just gave it to me for free! Take that bunco girls - I won something! It was a really fun day.
Then we went to the beach a couple of times and spend lots of time at the park. It felt so good to be outside and feel the sunshine again. I am a seasonally depressed person. I hate the cold and the dark, so it's all in the name of therapy, right?
One last thing - can anyone give me some good book recommendations? I have book club tomorrow night and I have to bring a list of some books that we should read in the coming year. Please give me some ideas!!

Love the pics with the whales - so much fun!
Sorry that you had to come back to all the SNOW!
So fun! And hey - I have some goodies to recommend in the book department! Call me tomorrow!!! Loves!
Just finished Water for Elephants, loved it and was so surprised -- tried to read it a couple of times over the summer and wasn't into it at all -- but since I always have to finish a book and I didn't have anything else, I picked it up again and then couldn't put it down, it was sooo good. I'll come up with a few others, I've got some in rotation now!
Welcome back!
Sounds like a great trip. If you want to drive a Dodge diesel truck, you can use mine. It's 4 wheel drive and it's just sitting in the driveway.
Huge book recommendation; "Three Cups of Tea". An incredible story about one person's ability to change the world.
Grandpa Bob
Laurie! Bet you didn't know I read your blog regularly! I love it. It makes me laugh when I too am stuck in my house with snow surrounding us. I have some amazing books for you!!!
I Capture the Castle

I have to admit Adam is a pretty cute kid.
I am so jealous of your trip, I've been here for all the storms. Talk about cabin fever.
Now I am depressed. I want to go to Disneyland :( There is something about that place that just makes you so happy....I love it! Call me a looser, but I could go there every year. And how fun to be in the dolphin show :) that has always been my dream, to be in a dolphin show. Man you are just depressing me by the second lady. And congrats on finally winning something...I am sooo proud of you.
It looks like you guys had so much fun, I am jealous. I never realized how hard having kids in the winter was, and she's only 4 months. Sea World looks like it was a blast and feeding the dolphins with your fake husband, who could ask for more?!?!
How fun for you to be the 'star' family of the show! I hate the snow too, thankfully I don't have to deal with it...but I feel for you!
Oh, I liked I Capture the Castle, too. I came back to see what other reads were recommended (always looking for new titles). Read it a few years ago and it was different.
A few more:
* Practically Perfect in Every Way (woman our age tries all the current self-help books and reviews, witty)
* Jodi Picoult, anything - she's always interesting
oh darn, audrey's up again... be back! ;)
Could Cameron be any cuter in her little boots...I have wanted to go to sea world for years...Looks soooo fun!!!
I can't believe we missed this! Now that you have season passes you are going to have to come back at least once month! We love having you guys here.
