They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks to a crappy camera, here goes my thousand words to describe my day. It's really sad about no camera because the kids were so dang cute all bundled up to play in the snow this morning. I got the boots, gloves, snow pants, hats, coats and scarves on all three of them in 40 minutes flat - that's got to be some kind of sad world record. They waddled up the street to collect friends and were back home with snot frozen to their little faces within minutes, needing hot chocolate. I wished I could have a before and after picture. (before and after the snot) It is so frustrating to see them taking off all the gear before I've even stopped sweating from putting it all on them!
After we got Cameron on the bus I was changing Luke's clothes and heard Adam come tearing down the hall. I heard his feet slip and his head bang on the wood floor. Then, being the caring mom that I am, said (without looking), "Adam! It's hard to feel sorry for you when you fall every thirty seconds!"
Then I turn around to see Adam holding his hand to his head and blood everywhere. I'm not really sure how he manages it, but that kid looks like he gets beat up on a daily basis. I don't even know how he cut it open hitting his head on the floor. Is that possible? Apparently so.
I cleaned up the mess and checked out the cut. He probably needed one or two stitches, but I'm not really up for the emergency room, ever. So I super glued it. That's right. Dr. Laurie on the scene. I'm my own McDreamy.
It's probably best that I don't have a photographic blog. You don't have to endure pictures of my kids covered in snot and blood.

It is truly amazing that kids can cut themselves by hitting their head on the floor. Sounds like a fun day at the Wimmer household - thanks for the snot visual I know they all get it but THANKS :) I will call Dr. Laurie next time we need stitches or whatever!
Super glue! almost as good as Duct tape! My little one cut her eye open falling on CARPET!
I guess after 3 kids. falling down isn 't that big of a deal. I probably would have had a melt down if that would have happened to Mason.
Allison - I was thinking today that when Cameron did that at 18 months old, I freaked out! I called everyone I knew and thought she needed a CT scan to make sure she didn't have a concussion. Wow, times have changed.
Okay I know exactly what you are getting for christmas!!!! And I am so very proud of you McDreamy...I agree ER's are so over rated!!
I mean....I'm sure Santa will bring you a camera! I realized my previous post might not have made sense!
I think Laurie needs more super glue for Christmas since I'm pretty sure this isn't the last time she'll whip it out!
I'm sorry to laugh but you are too hilarious! I love how you describe things. Way to go Doc!
Super Glue!! Wow, I don't think I would have thought of that. At least I know I am not the only mom that just rolls my eyes when my kid falls down (every 2 minutes).
