We're still in the potty training process (has it ever taken anyone longer than me?). So they had to wear Pull-Ups, but we're hopeful that within a couple of weeks they'll be in big-boy-undies all day.
This afternoon my niece Jessica came over to play with the kids. She's 17 years old and taking a child development class and my kids get to participate for the next semester!! How fun! She took them outside to play with play dough. I got some cute pictures.
Please note that only one of kids is actually looking at the camera.
What a nice day to feel like my kids are getting a little more independent. For so long, this whole motherhood thing has been so overwhelming. Now if we could just conquer the potty thing - we would be home free!!

Cute pictures! I think motherhood definitely takes a leap forward after potty-training. We're still in the trenches at this house too. My 4 1/2 year old still struggles, and we're just barely getting started with my 2 1/2 year old. I know there's a long road ahead.
You are too funny.
Maybe I need to try the pullups.
I want a niece like Jessica.
Laurie... Lee and I found your blog last night via other blogs, and we have been cracking up! Your posts are hillarious. We are so not looking forward to potty-training, and you definitely deserve the title hero for your running endeavors:)
I have three (4, 3 and 1 years) and finally see a light in the tunnel (notice I didn't say at the end -- we're still miles and miles away from that!). Every day gets better (notice I didn't say easier, ha ha), but it's fun to know I'm not alone and am in good company! (found you thru Heather White's blog, I think)
I've heard that boys are SO much harder to potty train than girls.
My daughters were both done by the age of 2 1/2 but My baby boy is just turning one, so I have a feeling I'll be buying diapers for a long while yet!
You really are so funny. I love reading your blog..
